Anonymous asked: assalamualaikum, firstly i would like to tell you that i'm not good in english. hopefully you understand what i'm going to tell you. i want to ask some question. is it wrong or is it sin if i pray for my non muslim friends so that they can get guidance from Allah? i hope one day they will get to know the truth of islam.

Wa’alaykum assalam. Of course not! It is our duty to invite non-muslims to the truth Islam and by praying to Allah to guide their hearts is something which is truly favourable in the sight of Allah (swt).

coconutjuicee asked: Assalam Alaikom wa rhamatullah wa barakato :) I have been wondering about, why shia muslims write aleyhi selam after Imams? Is there any authentic hadiths that says we should do so?

w/salam wr wb sister. Thank you for asking. If this were to go into depth then it would probably cover the whole of my tumblr and also there are different ways one could look at this. But let me simplify.

In Sunan an-nisai, hadith number 1285 it says:

Narrated Abu Mas’ud al-Ansari:

We went to Allah’s Apostle, peace be upon him, at the assembly of Sa’d bin ‘Ubada, and Bashir bin Sa’d said to Allah’s Apostle: “Allah the Glorious ORDERED us to invoke Salat upon you, O Allah’s Apostle. HOW SHOULD WE INVOKE SALAT ON YOU?” Allah’s Apostle, peace be upon him, kept quiet for so long that we wished Bashir had not asked him the question. Then he said: “Say: O Allah! Send Salat upon Muhammad AND UPON THE FAMILY OF MUHAMMAD just as You sent Salat upon the family of Ibrahim, AND BLESS Muhammad AND THE FAMILY OF MUHAMMAD as You blessed the family of Ibrahim AMONG THE WORLDS. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”

Shaykh al-albani comments on this narration as being ‘sahih’ (authentic)

In Hadith Number 1288 of the same book, we read:

Narrated Ka’b bin ‘Ajrah:

We said: “O Allah’s Apostle! We already know how to greet you. But how do we send Salat on you?” He replied: “Say: O Allah! Send Salat upon Muhammad AND UPON THE FAMILY OF MUHAMMAD just as You sent Salat upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious, AND BLESS Muhammad AND THE FAMILY OF MUHAMMAD as You blessed the Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim OF ALL THE WORLDS. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”

Albani also comments on this as ‘sahih’

So when we invoke salawat upon the prophet (saws) we must also include his descendants in that salawat also. When we say the name of prophet muhammad (saws) we should say ‘Sallallahu alayhi wa’Aalihi wasallam’ and NOT ‘sallallahu alayhi wasallam’ as the salawat is incomplete here.

so we say alayhis-salam for his descendants. The fact that we don’t say (radiyallahu anh) after their names is because of the fact that Allah is already pleased with them.

I hope this is sufficient. And of course, Allah knows best. May he guide me, you and everyone to the path which is most righteous in his eyes and those who truly seek it.

Lies of BBC Documentary “The Life Of Muhammad (saww)”

Assalamu alaikum

You may be watching a 3-part documentary by Rageh Omaar on BBC2 About the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him & his progeny)

Touted as an epic documentary about the real ‘Muhammad’ (saws) from Muslim perspectives it is meant to portray the Prophet (s) as Muslims see him and also to show some western criticisms of him.

2 of the 3 documentaries have been shown the last one is next Monday 25 July 9-00pm BBC2.

1. Throughout the Sunni viewpoint only is presented, this is like presenting a documentary on Christianity saying Christians believe in the Pope as ruler and original sin - when that is what only Catholics believe - so it is wrong and misleading.

2. In Documentary 1 the Holy Prophet (saws) is said to have tried to commit suicide by throwing himself off the mountain of revelation - another old Sunni belief the Shia reject

3. In Documentary 1 the Holy Prophet (saws) is said to have gone mad and doubted his sanity on receiving Revelation - another old Sunni belief the Shia reject.

4. In Documentary 1 Abu Talib is said to have died a non-muslim - another Sunni belief the Shia reject.

5. Next week the advert runs that in Documentary 3 the Final Sermon of the Prophet (saws) will be presented as that of Arafat and not Ghadir.

Now we all know this documentary is presenting SUNNI Islam as all ISLAM. Not surprising with people like Abdur Rahman Green being featured who is notorious for sectarian hatred of the Shias.

Moreover, you have ‘experts’ like Nonie Darwish, an Arab Zionist, Geoffrey Alderman, a Fat British Jew and the best of All, Robert Spancer, One of the greatest Islam-Haters on the planet and when his name is displayed, one his books, ‘The truth about Muhammad’ is also displayed. Funnily enough, they don’t even show the whole title which is ‘The truth about Muhammad, found of the World’s most intolerant Religion’.

I bet they will ask Geert Wilders about Islam in the next episode!

And what are our scholars doing about it? Maybe they don’t know. Please let them know as an emergency.

Muhammad (saws) has been insulted and WE have been insulted - which is an important principle in lodging complaints against the BBC.

We do not believe Muhammad (saws) tried to commit suicide, nor that he thought he went mad, and we do not believe that Abu Talib (as) the father of Imam Ali (as) was a kaffir.

We consider this an insult to our beliefs.

The producers have decided to present SUNNI belief about the life of Muhammad (s) as ISLAMIC belief. They are not going to change their documentary as it is too late. BUT We would be grateful if the producers state clearly at the start of the Final Documentary that the version of events presented as that of Islamic belief is that according to the Sunni perspective - in itself that undermines substantially the purpose of the documentary which is to present all views that stand opposed to and including the ‘Islamic’ view on his life.

If anybody knows Modaressi or Khoe or Sistani or Khamnei’s office of AhlulBayt tv can you PLEASE tell them to interact in broader society as ‘Ambassadors’ of Shia Islam and ask them to respond SOON as if they respond before the next documentary the BBC will at least have time to respond and present our concerns with a statement at the start like “The following documentary presents the SUNNI version of the life of Muhammad (s)”.

For those of you who are against these lies and zionist puppets, I urge all of you to make your voices heard. It is our fault if we let GROSS lies about our Prophet (saws) be spread like this.

Wassalamu alaikum

And Muhammad is no more than a messenger; the messengers have already passed away before him; if then he dies or is killed will you turn back upon your heels? And whoever turns back upon his heels, he will by no means do harm to Allah in the least and Allah will reward the grateful. Noble Quran - surah Aale Imran, Ayah 144

Imam Husayn (as) uprooted despotism forever till the day of judgement. He watered the dry sky garden of freedom with the surging wave of his blood, and indeed he awakened the sleeping Muslim nation. If Husayn had aimed at acquiring a wordly empire, he would not have traveled the way he did (from Madinah to Karbala). Husayn weltered in blood and dust for the sake of truth. Verily he, therefore, became the bed-rock (foundation) of the Muslim creed; ‘La Ilaha Illallah’

One of his students says that Agha Behjat was asked, “Our lives have passed away and we still have not experienced pleasure (halaawa, lazzat) from our worship, especially salat. What is your advice so that we can taste some of the pleasures that our infallible leaders (A) have described?”Agha Behjat replied, “This pleasure that you seek in worship has two prerequisites; one outside salat, and one within salat itself. What is necessary before salat and outside of it is that a person abstains totally from sin, and does not blacken his heart with the disgrace of disobedience, because sin will rob his heart of light. As for the second requirement, within the salat itself a man must create a barrier around himself so that no thought other than the remembrance of God can enter. He must not allow his thoughts to stray away from God even for an instant. [In this manner, you will achieve what you seek.]”
